How it works
No developer required. No special training for your staff. AskLore takes what you already know and makes it instantly accessible to everyone.
Step one
Everything your team needs to know, in one place. Upload it, paste a video link, or type it — Lore handles the rest.
Start with what you already have
Most businesses have procedures scattered across email threads, shared drives, and people’s heads. You don’t need everything perfect before going live — start with your top five FAQs. Add more as staff ask questions you haven’t covered yet.
Accepted formats
Step two
Your Lore assistant lives at its own URL — with a QR code ready to print. No app, no accounts, nothing for your team to install.

Step three
Staff ask in plain language — the same way they'd text a colleague. Lore reads your procedures and replies with a specific, accurate answer.
What if Lore doesn’t know the answer?
Lore tells staff honestly when it can’t find a relevant answer in the knowledge base — it never makes something up. The unanswered question is logged in your Gaps feed so you know exactly what to add next.
Your dashboard
The owner portal gives you a live view of what your team is asking, what Lore is answering, and where the gaps in your knowledge base are.
Activity dashboard
See questions asked today, this week, and over time. At a glance — is your team using Lore? What are the most common topics?
Gaps feed
Every question Lore couldn’t answer lands here. It’s your to-do list for improving coverage. One tap to add a new procedure.
Knowledge base
Every document and procedure in one place. Add, edit, replace, or remove sources any time. Processing is instant.
Analytics Growth+
Question trends by day and topic. Feedback scores per document. Helps you prioritise which procedures to clarify or expand.
Lore only draws from the documents and procedures you've uploaded — it won't fabricate information or pull from outside your knowledge base. Accuracy depends on how clearly your procedures are written. Lore works best with specific, step-by-step content; it struggles if your documents are vague or contradictory. The Gaps feed and feedback ratings help you identify and fix weak spots over time.
No. Staff access Lore by visiting your bot's URL or scanning the QR code — that's it. If you've enabled PIN protection, they enter the PIN once and Lore remembers them on that device. No accounts, no passwords, no app to install.
PDFs and Microsoft Word documents (.docx) are supported, along with plain text. Scanned PDFs (image-based) are processed with OCR. You can also paste a video link (YouTube, Vimeo, Loom, and more) — Lore transcribes the audio automatically. The Lore editor lets you type procedures directly if you don't have existing documents.
Most businesses are live within an afternoon. Upload your top five to ten procedures, share the QR code with your team, and Lore is ready. You don't need everything documented upfront — the Gaps feed will tell you what to add as staff ask questions you haven't covered.
Lore only knows what's in your knowledge base. Staff can ask anything in plain language, but Lore will only answer from the content you've uploaded. If a question isn't covered, Lore says so honestly and logs it as a gap for you to review.
Yes. Your knowledge base is strictly isolated from other customers' data. It's only used to answer your staff's questions — not to train AI models, not shared with other businesses. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
